Mepps Xtra Deep

If you fish deep lakes, river pools or fast water, you owe it to yourself to try the Mepps® XD® (Xtra Deep). Mepps didn't invent the through-the-blade shaft spinner, we perfected it. Each XD features a precision solid brass support bead between the blade and body, allowing the blade to spin at any retrieve speed. This also allows the blade to spin as the lure falls, providing extra attraction. No other through-the-blade shaft spinner offers this feature. Mepps has always used strike attractors, a splash of color that enhances lure visibility. For every XD, we have chosen either a bright red bead or a fluorescent bead well placed in the rear of the body. All silver XD blades and bodies are plated with genuine silver, creating a brilliant white flash easily visible underwater. Some blades and bodies are plated with platium (plahy-tee-um). Platium is a natural element that has remarkable corrosion resistance. Gold blades and bodies are polished brass. Painted blades feature a proprietary chip-resistant Mepps blend combining acrylic and epoxy finishes. Because it is assembled with the best possible components, the XD holds up well to fishing over rocks, stumps, and rip-rap where trophy fish lurk. As if all that weren't enough, the XD fishes deeper—size for size—than any other lure in its class.
