The Shadow Rap combines horizontal swimming and vertical descent that perfectly mimics a struggling baitfish. Rapala has perfected the natural action of a baitfish in this new jerkbait that triggers fish strikes in three ways: during the impulse, during a slow descent, and when coming back to life. Most jerkbaits continue to move forward with each twitch. Not the Shadow Rap.

 It performs a rotation of almost 180 degrees to the right then to the left, allowing it to fish almost on the spot with minimal forward movement, thus maintaining the Shadow Rap's wobbling descent in the fish's strike zone.
